Interlude One Story

"There is only one story." What does he mean by this? Do you agree? Why or why not?

All stories link back to each other somehow. No story is completely original. I agree with that because anytime i try to write a story, ill start writing something and notice how similar it is to something else i've written or something i've read before in the past.

"There is only one story" I think he is completely right. Every movie or book that you read is based on something else that has already been written. It may be a little different but they are mostly all the same.

i think he is absolute correct.
Any book and or movie has in my opinion have been loosely based on another work of literature.

I totally agree with what he says. If you think of a story you can always think of a another movie or book that had the same line of thinking. It;s hard to think of a book that has been completely original. One I can think of is the Bible. Many books after it often take some of the stories from it and make them their own.

All stories relate to each other in some way...Most stories start out from one origin...Whenever I write a story I have to make sure I'm not writing something that has already been written...It is extremely hard to write about something that hasn't been written before, especially when the only things you can think of are things you have read about before

The author means that for each individual reader, there can only be one story because the things they infer from what they read can only come from their individual experiences and point of view and other things they've seen or read. The story is different for each person, but the same common thread runs through each. Like the author said, the story is about humanity. I agree on two levels because no story can be completely original since we draw things from our subconcious, and to each person, there literally is only one story.

Yes i totally agree with him. Every story you read or movie you watch is based on something else. No story is totally original. When i watch movies or read books i can always relate it to something ive seen or read. It may be a little different, but it still has the same background.
