Chapter 24 ...And Rarely Just Illness

Re-read the last paragraph carefully and then respond. Do you agree? What has been lost in modern writing--if you do agree? If you don't--why not?

I see his point, but I also think he hasn't looked at other sides of this. With new technology comes many more things to write about. In mystery books, this creates more and more ways to solve crimes, adn if anyhting I think the invention of new technology adn medecines would increace imaginatin to create better books with wilder and more interesting conclusions.

i agree with Aimee i think that there could be more possibility's for story's if the author would consider the possibility's that may come from new things. and it would def make the conclusions more interesting.

I get where he's coming from, but really with new things would come new ideas. Maybe some of the stories that haven't even been thought of yet would come out of new technology. As time goes on there are more new and origianl things that could be written about.

I get what he is saying, but also from figuring out the cure to one disease, a worse disease could easily pop up and make another story...Also there could be stories about a disease and a cure that most people would rather die instead of take...You could easily make up more stories if you wanted to, so I don't think that modern writing has lost anything...
